The alert will be polling from two application custom properties.
They are:
Runbook
Runbook signoff date
The Runbook is just a Yes/No custom property. Do we use a runbook for this template?If so it will have a Runbook signoff date. We need to update our runbooks every six month so the alert designed above takes the date in Runbook Signoff Date and if Older than 180 days triggers an alert to update a runbook. The alert above successfully does that. the issue i am having is that say. xxxx application has twenty nodes assigned to it. The application custom property for Runbook signoff date will trigger 20 times.
The first workaround to my issue is take the Runbook custom property and mark it to No for all but one node listed under that application. Then i would receive one alert when the date alert triggers.
I was hoping to be able to use the distinct comand to not have to do this. Since the 20 alerts it triggers above are all exactly the same it would only return 1. However the Select field is not editable in the alert manager.
I may have found a work around to not being able to change this as if i go to the database table i can edit this alert.
