We are in the process of uninstalling Patch Manager from our Field offices. However, in doing so, we are missing out on two important aspects. One, we will no longer be able to delete patches from downstream servers from a central location. Two, we will not be able to run automatic cleanup for the replica servers. Both of these were scheduled as a task in our current setup and worked quite well as long as the replica servers were up and running and ewdgs was started. We are looking to find a minimal install for Patch manager at all locations that will provide us with enough capability to be able to manage the WSUS replica servers from the PAS. We have already attempted to add a replica server manually on the PAS but in absence of Patch Manager running on the replica server, connectivity is not successful. What could be the best option for minimal services and db requirements.
